We are looking for an Inside Sales Representative, highly experienced in tropical hardwood lumber products, decking, and building products. To perform customer service and presentation skills to present product options that meet the customer’s needs well in this role, you must have excellent communication skills, create quotes, and estimates. In addition, meet the budget for branch sales through market awareness, job selling, initiative, and job quotes professionally and, most importantly, close sales.

Commission potential
In addition to your base salary, you will receive a 3% commission based on the company`s gross profit of account owners’ users only. Additionally, 1% commission based on the company`s gross profit of order entry users. The amount of the commission will be calculated on a monthly basis and will be added to the payroll.

POSITION RESPONSIBILITIES:

Greet customers and ascertain what each customer wants or needs.
Responsible for selling and maintaining current sales and promotions policies, policies regarding payment, exchanges, and security practices.
Compute sales prices, total purchases, and receive and process cash or credit payments.
Maintain records related to sales.
Answers incoming calls for the department.
Watch for and recognize security risks and thefts and know how to prevent or handle these situations.
Responsible for understanding the features and benefits of the products offered.
Recommend, select, and assist in locating or obtaining merchandise based on customer needs and desires.
Answer questions regarding the store and its merchandise. • Describe merchandise and explain the use, operation, and care of merchandise to customers.
Responsible for processing invoices.
Prepare sales slips or sales contracts.
Place special orders or call other stores to find desired items.
Demonstrate the use or operation of merchandise.
Follow the opening and closing procedures of the registers when assigned.
Performs any other duties as assigned

KNOWLEDGE AND EXPERIENCE:

EDUCATION: High school diploma or general education degree (GED); or equivalent combination of education and experience.

EXPERIENCE: Minimum 3 years of Inside Sales Representative experience, preferably in lumber retail. At least 2 years of experience selling tropical hardwood lumber products.

Must be a U.S. citizen or be authorized to work in the U.S
